An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure, but we all know people don’t do anything until they absolutely have to.
“Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel Aguilar has ordered city health officials and health workers to conduct a massive free door-to-door measles vaccination,” reports Mike Frialde on Philstar.com.
According to the report, “the campaign was prompted by the Department of Health’s declaration of a measles outbreak in several districts in nine Metro Manila cities.” Among the areas mentioned by the DOH were three barangays in Las Piñas: Talon 2, Talon 5, and Pamplona Uno.
