Korina Sanchez: Elections a battle between good and evil

Yup, she went there — the question is if this a point of no return.

Korina Sanchez, wife of presidential candidate Mar Roxas and a household name on her own right for her bad-ass reputation as an AM radio host (she is usually better behaved on television), has thrown down the gauntlet, criticizing but not naming her husband’s main opponent.

In an interview with Cheryl Cosim of TV5’s Aksyon Tonight on Thu, May 5, she said the upcoming polls will be a “battle between good and evil” and voters need to choose between light and darkness, fear and security.

“I think that is more and more evident right now.

Sanchez may or may not be referring to Roxas and Rodrigo Duterte, who are fighting it in the latest surveys. She didn’t say whom between the two is good and who is evil — but go ahead, take a wild guess.

Sanchez, who is on leave from ABS-CBN to campaign for her husband, added that the difference between the two candidates is quite evident.

In an obvious dig against Duterte, she explained that the other candidate has no respect for the Church, women, youth, law and sanctity of life.

To be fair, neither the daughter of Duterte (Sara) nor his common law wife (Honeylet Avanceña) has gone on the record to say anything against Roxas’ capability as the next president of the Philippines.
