Kim Henares makes history as BIR chief with most cases filed

Just like her favorite taxpayer, Manny Pacquiao, it seems that Kim Henares is out to break some records.

“Henares is on track to earning the distinction of being the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) chief with the biggest number of tax cheat cases filed since the revenue agency’s inception more than a hundred years ago,” reports Jun Ramirez in Manila Bulletin.

As of this month, Henares’ case total is at 450. Yes, she’s filed that many tax evasion complaints with the Department of Justice (DOJ) since she assumed the top revenue post in June, 2010.
