Always had a difficult time explaining kilig to your non-Filipino friends?
Well, now you no longer need to. Not because it’s a feeling you will never feel, but because you can now point them to the Oxford English Dictionary online.
It was added on the list of new release words in March 2016 (there were over 100 new words included).
According to the entry, kilig is both a noun and an adjective.
In case you’re wondering, here’s how they defined that soaring, tumbling, indescribable feeling.
The phrases kilig to the bones, kilig factor and kilig moment are now also acceptable.
