The Carnival’s pair of imports proved too much for the Blackwater Elite as they succumbed to their fourth defeat in five games in the 2015 Governor’s Cup, following a double overtime clash between the two rookie franchises.
Jet Chang put in a 25-point performance for Kia, while Senegalese Hamady N’Diaye finished just a block short of a triple double with 16 points, 23 rebounds, and 9 blocks.
Carnival also had franchise-best 70 rebounds.
Rookie Brian Heruela and Marcus Douthit led Blackwater combining for 30 points.
It was the first double overtime game between the two teams.
Carnival improved its record to 3-1 for the tournament. The team now sits in second place tied with Alaska Aces and Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters.
