Broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez’s column in today’s edition of tabloid Bulgar reports an alarming trend in one of Quezon City’s most expensive property areas. She reports an incident on Tuesday night: a collision between a delivery truck and a motorcycle. The motorcyle driver, 22-year-old engineering student Ariel delos Santos, was thrown to the ground and allegedy run over by the same truck. Katipunan Avenue is a busy area during the day, with traffic crawling at a snail’s pace because of universities nearby, but the roads get deserted at night and that’s when vehicles tend to drive beyond the speed limit.
