Folk singer Freddie Aguilar failed to attend a hearing at the Quezon City prosecutor’s office on Monday, where he is facing a qualified seduction charge for his much-publicized May-December affair with a 16-year-old girl.
Aguilar says he did not get the notice and he would start consulting his lawyer about it, reports Philippine Star.
Aguilar has two more hearing dates to attend before the case is considered submitted for resolution, the report said.
The singer has consistently shrugged off allegations that he was taking advantage of his girlfriend, insisting that the minor and him were in love. He also made public his intention to marry the girl, which raised eyebrows.
