Let the tension rise.

“Makati Mayor Junjun Binay slammed the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for insisting that he remains suspended despite the release of a temporary restraining order (TRO) by the Court of Appeals (CA),” reports Dharel Placido on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “Binay, who was suspended by the DILG hours before he got hold of a halt order from the appellate court, said the DILG is not in the position to say that TRO can no longer restrain the suspension order because the latter was already enforced.”

Binay was quoted as saying in Filipino, “It’s wrong and they’re misleading the people when they say that the CA’s TRO has no effect.”

He added, “The CA has spoken. The TRO was issued. It has to be respected. I don’t know why the DILG is being so stubborn about it when they were just tasked by the Ombudsman to implement the suspension order.
