As expected, they want the same thing.

“Detained Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla are hoping that just like fellow detainee Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, they, too, would be allowed by the Supreme Court to post bail,” reports Bernadette E. Tamayo on Journal Online.

The report noted: “The three senators have been detained at Camp Crame to answer for graft charges in relation to their alleged involvement in the PHP10-billion pork-barrel fund scam. The Supreme Court granted Enrile’s petition for bail on Tue, Aug 18.” Enrile’s bail was set at PHP1 million.

Asked to comment on Enrile’s expected temporary freedom, Estrada said: “Senator Bong Revilla and I are very happy for JPE (Juan Ponce Enrile). Justice has been served for JPE. We commend the SC (Supreme Court) ruling.”

Estrada added, “We are still very hopeful that we will follow soon so we can report back to work. I. It’s also a victory for the Senate as institution at magkakaroon na uli ng buhay sa Senado ang minority (and the Senate minority will once again be active).”
