Can other detainees avail of the same privilege?

“Senator Jinggoy Estrada was allowed by the Sandiganbayan 5th Division to attend his son Julian’s graduation rites at the OB Montessori tomorrow from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17,” reports Adrian Ayalin on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “Despite the prosecution’s opposition, 5th Division Chairperson Justice Roland Jurado said in court that their decision is not for Estrada but for his son’s welfare.”

In an interview with the media after his petition for bail hearing, Estrada said he is thankful for the court’s decision.

Estrada said in Filipino, “It’s every parent’s wish to see his child get a diploma.”
