Like too many before him, It’s Showtime host Jhong Hilario is running for political office. For Makati councilor under the United Nationalist Alliance, to be specific.
His reason? He wants to be like his father, Makati councilor Virgilio Hilario.
“Okay ang career ko, mayroon akong hosting, mayroon akong noontime show, mayroon akong teleserye at nagkakaroon ako ng out-of-town shows, mga endorsements. Pero kasi since idol ko ang tatay ko talaga…eh kailangan ko lang siguro ipagpatuloy kung ano ang nasimulan ng tatay ko,” he told Buan-Deveza of ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report continues: “As early as now, Hilario said that he is preparing himself to face criticisms and negative campaigning.”
And we can’t help but agree. Yes, Jhong. You do just that.
