The planet’s hottest male traveler is currently touring the Philippines helping promote our country as a top international destination. His name? Jeremy Jauncey. He is of mixed Colombian-Scottish heritage and is the brains behind social media agency Beautiful Destinations (245k Facebook followers and 6.1m on Instagram).
Jauncey, 31, and four other people from the BD team are working with the Department of Tourism because, you know, BD “has already set the global standard for creating social content” and “is surely an effective way to make our country’s presence in the digital space more felt by travelers who are highly reliant on social media,” according to our DOT secretary.
A press release issued on Gov.PH last May 7 said the BD team was to start the campaign on May 11, and they were expted to share “moments throughout each day of the trip” until May 24.
Jauncey’s first post on IG, however, wasn’t until May 14, from Kawasan Falls in Cebu where he went canyoneering. We spent the morning at Oslob with the whale sharks and took motorbikes up into the mountains in the afternoon,” he wrote. The BD team is also expected in Manila this weekend for a meet and greet.
