Jehovah’s Witnesses Bible convention at Cuneta Astrodome expects over 11,000 participants

If you’re big fan of the Bible, you’ll be overjoyed to know that the Special Bible Convention of the Jehovah’s Witnesses will be held at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City from October 18 to 20.

“Around 1,400 delegates from the US, Taiwan, and Indonesia, who are mostly coming to the Philippines for the first time,” reports InterAksyon.com. They will be joining 10,000 Filipino participants.

Dean Jacek, spokesman of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WBTS) in the Philippines, revealed that the Bible lectures will be presented in 10 languages: Bicol, Cebuano, English, Hiligaynon, Iloko, Korean, Pangasinan, Tagalog, Waray-Waray, and the Filipino Sign Language. WBTS, which is based in New York, is described as “the leading publisher and distributor of the Bible and Bible-based literature.”

Aside from the Cuneta Astrodome, similar conventions will also be held in over 80 venues all over the Philippines on the same dates.

The convention program, schedule, and venues are posted on www.jw.org.
