To the jeepney driver who has this signboard, we feel ya.
Jeepneys are the most popular mode of public transportation in the Philippines. It usually has a signage posted on its front window so commuters know what the driver’s route is. But on Saturday, Twitter user Nicolas Erl Mariñas Baladad (@kapitanokin) saw a signboard that didn’t mention a route, just a supremely relatable thought that spoke to him in volumes.
On Saturday, Baladad shared a now-viral tweet about a jeepney’s signage that translates into English as “I feel lazy.”
“hARD SaME, brother,” wrote Baladad in a mix of English and Filipino.

Baladad told Coconuts Manila that he spotted the jeep while he was on his way to school in front of the Bayanan Elementary School in Bacoor, Cavite at around 6:30am.
Sadly, he didn’t get to ride that jeepney.
“The jeep I rode was in front of the jeepney with the ‘tinatamad ako (I feel lazy) [signboard],” he shared. He joked that he wanted to ride the jeep because it’s exactly how he felt too.

When his tweet went viral he was shocked. He thought his tweet would get only around 1,000 favorites, but it breached more than 30,000. That’s a lot of love for one silly photo.
The tweet had over 17,000 likes and 37,000 retweets as of this article’s posting. Netizens thought it was hilarious, of course.
