Maybe the people who initially saw him unconsious on the jeepney didn’t know he had suffered a stroke.
“Mark Calasin — a contributor to ABS-CBN News’ Bayan Mo, Patrol Mo — was on his way home at around 5:30 p.m. last Saturday, February 14, when he saw an old man slumped on the sidewalk of Roxas Boulevard,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report noted: “The man was lying on the pavement unconscious and bystanders said he was carried down from the jeepney he had been riding in.”
Calasin sent the photo to Bayan Mo, Patrol Mo to get the media’s help in informing the family. People in the area also helped when they saw the man.
One witness, jeepney barker, Jun Advincula said the driver of the jeepney that the man had been in just laid the man on the sidewalk.
The Pasay City Rescue team responded and brought the man to the hospital. However, he was declared dead on arrival.
The report didn’t say if the man’s identity has been confirmed.
