This proves that she is, in fact, back in town.

“The daughter of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles has posted a PHP50,000 bail at the Court of Appeals (CTA) for her tax evasion case,” reports Adrian Ayalin on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “Atty. Stephen David confirmed that Jeane Napoles went to the CTA yesterday to post bail in connection with a PHP17.8 million tax evasion case filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ).”

David explained that “although there is still no warrant of arrest against Jeane, they preempted its issuance by posting bail. He added they still have a pending motion for judicial determination of probable cause before the CTA.”

David went on to say that “no case should have been filed against Jeane because even if she is the owner of two properties in California and Pangasinan, she was a student and was not yet working when she acquired them.”

“Pwede namang binigyan lang siya,” said David. He added that “Jeane acquired the properties from her mother because she was applying for US citizenship.”
