“Justice Secretary Leila de Lima on Saturday, March 14, said her department is verifying reports that Jeane Napoles, daughter of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles, is currently in the Philippines,” reports Ricky Velasco on ABS-CBNNews.com.
The report noted: “The younger Napoles was supposedly sighted eating at a five-star hotel in Pasay City along with her father and siblings last week. Janet Napoles’ lawyer, Atty. Bruce Rivera, refused to give any comment.”
The report then recalled that “in September 2014, Jeane was charged by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) with violations of the National Internal Revenue Code (NIRC) for an alleged total tax liability of P32.06 million, inclusive of surcharges and interests, for taxable years 2011 and 2012.”
Jeane first came drew flak after she posted photos on Instagram showing off her lavish lifestyle.
