Japan’s Prime Minister gets a taste of Davao hospitality

Are they now BFFs? Looks like these two guys had a fun bonding session in Davao.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe got to enjoy a simple breakfast in President Rodrigo Duterte’s modest home in Doña Luisa Subdivision in Matina District. Of course, Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go (aka country’s biggest photobomber) was there too.

According Go, President Duterte also showed Japan’s Prime Minister his own bed including his favorite mosquito net.

“The two leaders stayed in Duterte’s house for 45 minutes,” Philippine Daily Inquirer reports.

Abe also got a taste of suha Davao’s famous durian. Jump to the end of the video to his reaction upon getting a taste of the notoriously smelly fruit.

Abe arrived in the country on Thursday afternoon for a two-day official visit. He is the first foreign state to drop by Duterte’s hometown.
