Desperate times call for desperate measures.
“On Friday, Mar 21, detained businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles had tears in her eyes as she Makati City Regional Trial Court (RTC) 150 Judge Elmo Alameda to allow her to undergo surgery and confinement at St. Luke’s Global City in Taguig City,” reports Anna Liza Villas-Alavaren in Manila Bulletin.
(I can’t take it anymore. I hope you will understand me. Have mercy on me. I have long endured the pain. When I fail to take my medicines, bleeding does not stop. If I am not ailing, I would not be begging this way).”
Alameda allowed Napoles to drop by Ospital ng Makati before heading back to Fort Sto. Domingo for a checkup due to abdominal pain. However, Napoles was released from the hospital around 2:40pm. The Ospital ng Makati doctor said Napoles’ need for surgery was “not urgent.”
We’ll see how this turns out.
