Equestrian Jan Catherine Sy, the granddaughter of the late SM Supermalls founder Henry Sy Sr., died last night after a brief hospital stay. She was 29.
She died at 6:35pm of sepsis, the sports website Spin said. Mayo Clinic says sepsis “occurs when the body’s response to an infection damages its own tissues.”
