Jailed: First winner of The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition

Who would have thought that this would happen to him after his big win?

“Larry Martin — who was hailed as the first champion of The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition back in 2011 — is now detained at the Naga City Jail after he was found guilty of being an accessory to homicide. He was sentenced to three months to a maximum of three years in jail,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Martin, 39, failed to pay the PHP120,000.

How did Martin get involved in the case?

Well, in 2012, Martin’s cousin, Faustino Galvan, got into a fight with a court sheriff named Rommel Licmuan. It was alleged that Licmuan was harrassing Galvan’s girlfriend.

Galvan hit Licmuan at the back of his head. This caused Licmuan to be comatose for two weeks before he eventually died.

It was revealed that Martin owned and was driving the car that Galvan used to get away from the scene of his altercation with Licmuan.

“Galvan is now also detained at the Naga City Jail. He is sentenced to 8 to 14 years behind bars,” reports PEP.

The report indicated that Martin has accepted his fate and is taking responsibility for how he reacted to the incident involving his cousin in 2012.
