It’s official: Cooler days are here

It’s time to take your handstitched Baguio cardigans out of the baul.

The cool breeze that ushers in the holiday season is now here, according to the state weather bureau. Forecasters at Pagasa say the northeast monsoon (amihan) has begun prevailing over the southwest monsoon (habagat). Amihan causes a drop in the mercury, with cooler temperatures are expected to be the norm until January next year. The weather bureau advised the public to expect colder mornings from now on, and generally fair weather condition. Isolated rainshowers may occur in the northern and eastern sides of the country in the afternoon or evening.
