One Pinoy wants to make a difference in the sneaker industry, but first, he needs help in winning the Pensole World Sneaker Championships. Yes, there is such a thing.
“The goal of the World Sneaker Championship is to show the world how impactful the sneaker industry is by highlighting the top aspiring sneaker designers from around the world through the premiere sneaker brands in the industry,” said Pensole founder D’Wayne Edwards on their website.
Arturo Tolentino is representing the Philippines in the competition with 30 hand-picked design students from different countries around the world.
While he’s still far from the final round, he asks for our help in the polls. We have until Apr 1 to show our support.
Even with an underdog status, he’s included among the top 16 designers in the contest. He’s now against a US designer, one that he calls a “voting heavyweight”.
The winner for this round will advance to the top 8.
