It sounds like Metro Manila could learn a thing or three from Architect Paulo Alcazaren’s upcoming talk

Architect Paulo Alcazaren actually curated The Plazas of Manila, Yuchengco Museum’s pretty cool exhibit with a digital app component.

Ongoing until Sep 18, the exhibit aims to bring Manila’s historic but fast-disappearing plazas front and center.

The digital app, Culture Explorer, acts as your virtual guide, letting you navigate around landmarks and travel back in time, and see how these plazas have evolved through the years.

As though the travel back in time isn’t enough, Yuchengco Museum is having the exhibit’s curator, Paulo Alcazaren give a talk. Two, actually, on Sep 9 and Sep 12.

Not only will he emphasize what you will have picked up from the exhibit — the importance of plazas in city design, for instance — but the renowned architect will also give a primer on city planning, urban design, and landscape and architecture. Disciplines that Metro Manila can certainly do more of, don’t you think?

Attend the talks! Register here.
