Israeli Embassy in Manila resumes operations

Welcome back!

“After nearly a month of suspension, the Israeli Embassy in Manila resumed its normal operations on Thursday after the labor dispute between Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Finance was finally resolved,” reports Roy Mabasa in the Manila Buleltin.

In a statement, the embassy said, “As of today, April 3, 2014, all services of the embassy are fully operational. We all have been eager to go back to work.”

The embassy had suspended all consular services last March 4, as Israeli diplomats across the world went on strike. They had demanded higher salaries and better working conditions.

Well, their concerns are most definitely universal.
