The would-be victim fought back and it spelled the end for one criminal.
At around 4am on Sat, Jul 10, a 27-year-old man who was a crew member of a pizza restaurant was walking with two female co-workers along Ayala Avenue, Makati City.
“Suddenly, the robber, who was driving a motorcycle without license plates, approached. The robber – who was later identified as John Paul Hernandez, 29 – drew a pistol and tried to grab the women’s bags. The women tried to fight him off,” reports Mike Frialde in The Philippine Star.
The 27-year-old man then tried to wrest the gun away from Hernandez. As the two men grappled for possession of the gun, it went off and Hernandez was hit in the chest.
Police have conducted an investigation and consider the case closed.
