Some 300 Filipinos closed down the famous Shibuya Crossing in Japan, regarded as the world’s busiest intersection, as they marched Saturday in support of Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.

Supporters wore various shades of pink — some even in drag wear — as they paraded with streamers and signs in support of the Robredo-Pangilinan ticket along what organizers called the longest route approved by Tokyo’s metropolitan office, as events like these on Shibuya Crossing are few and far between.

The Shibuya walk in Japan coincided with the People’s Rally in Pampanga, which saw the largest crowd draw to date amid the campaign trail at an estimated 220,000 attendees.
