Immigration chief fires trusted aide for ‘abuse of power’

We hope this is for real. “Commissioner Siegfred Mison of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) has fired his trusted aide, Ronando Capistrano, for alleged abuse of power,” reports Tempo.

In a press statement, Mison revealed that Capistrano, a man “who had enjoyed his trust and confidence, was discovered to have abused the same while allegedly (involved) in several questionable transactions and taking advantage of his position as chief of staff.”

Mison added that “six more key officials will also be investigated for human trafficking, case fixing, and extortion.
