If it pushes through, we’d like to eavesdrop.
“On Monday, Jan 20, former First Lady and current Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos said that she intends to visit former President and current Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC),” reports Paolo Romero in The Philippine Star.
Marcos described Arroyo’s continued detention as “inhuman.” The report quoted her as saying, “This (detention) is no longer about justice, this is about life.”

Arroyo is under “hospital arrest” at the VMMC for the alleged plunder of funds of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
Marcos, however, brought up the fact that “the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos granted the appeal of late former senator Benigno Aquino Jr. to leave for the US to seek medical treatment even if he was already convicted for sedition.”
If that’s not a potshot at PNoy, then we don’t know what is. Remember when a congressman urged the president to visit Gloria? How about when retired Archbishop Oscar Cruz defended her?
