Today, Wednesday, July 2, Ilocos Norte 2nd District Representative Imelda Marcos is marking her 85th birthday in her bailiwick.
“First, she visited Batac City, where the remains her husband former president Ferdinand Marcos are located. To this day, Marcos’ preserved body—which has been placed inside a refrigerated crypt—is still on public display at the Marcos Museum and Mausoleum,” reports ANC.
When asked about her late husband’s burial arrangements, the former First Lady bemoaned the fact that the late president still hasn’t been given a hero’s burial.
Rep. Marcos was quoted as saying, “Eh, ilang taon na si Marcos namatay? Hanggang ngayon pa ba kalaban pa si Marcos (How many years has Marcos been dead? Is he considered an enemy until now)?”
