This story is like a joke that writes itself. A man who went nuts at a cockpit was later accidentally hit by a bullet right between the legs.
“A man named Ernesto Tunugbanua Jr. was rushed to West Visayas State University Medical Center in Iloilo after a ricocheting bullet hit him in the genitals Sunday afternoon, April 26,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
According to police, Tunugbanua was at the Leganes cockpit Sunday when he started going crazy, threatening people with an ax.
Responding to pleas for help, SPO4 Alberto Sarmiento of the Leganes Municipal Police Station fired a warning shot.
Sarmiento, however, fired the warning shot at the concrete floor of the cockpit. Unfortunately, the bullet ricocheted and hit Tunugbanua in the genitals.
The report noted: “Tunugbanua’s family said the victim has a nervous breakdown when he is stressed. The reason for his recent breakdown at the cockpit is still unknown.”
