In this case, the answer to the question just spawned even more questions.

When asked about who had posted the “Tulong. Hostage kami.” sign (as well as at least one other sign related to the controversy) on the window of their home in Tandang Sora, Quezon City, Felix Nathaniel “Angel” Manalo said it might have been placed by a child.

In an ABS-CBNnews.com report by Jojo Malig, Manalo explained: “Meron kasi kaming kasama na bata. Siguro nahihirapan na rin sa nangyayari, siya siguro ang naglagay (There is a child with us who probably got so anxious over what was happening…so the sign was made and shown to people).”
