Iger of the day: @thefloralist aka Patricia Pastelero

If you’re a bride and doing research on floral design, or if you’re not a bride and only need inspiration, want to feel chic, or see a lovelier version of the world, best to swing by the IG account of @Thefloralist. The Floralist is Patricia Pastelero, one of the owners of the very chic online clothing brand Elin, and one of Manila’s more popular young blood florists.

On her instagram account, you’ll see photos of her work for her very own Spruce Floral Designs, as well as pictures from her vacations and trips, that are equally inspiring and envy-inducing. No wonder both her businesses are the way they are: clean, classy, and quite refreshing!

Where are you from? Ortigas, QC

What can people expect from your gallery? Mostly flowers, weddings, pretty things I find—work-related stuff. I have a few food and travel posts, and on occasion I’ll throw my family into the mix.

What is Instagram for you? It’s the most convenient way for me to keep brides updated on current weddings. I have a Facebook account and a half-finished website but I just don’ have the time to update them. Instagram is also a great way for me to keep tabs on both local and international designers and the pretty things they surround themselves with. But most importantly, it keeps me updated on the latest Alicia Sy resto-find, lol.

What do you like seeing on your feed? Beatiful rooms, events flowers, and food.

Do you have a favorite IG user? @JoseVilla has the most beautiful photos. He’s a professional wedding photographer though maybe that should disqualify him. @Bettandbelen makes healthy eating and cooking look delicious and so appealing.

What are your favorite filters? I like the faded-vintage-y ones—rise, and amaro. Although I also use Hefe and low-fi sometimes.

Any tips you’d like to share to make IG a better, happier place? It can be tempting but try your very damnedest not to post more than one photo of a place you’re in or meal you’re having in a short span of time. Nothing annoys people more than when their feed is flooded with a blog-by-blow of what you’re doing. When I can’t help myself, I just make a collage.
