A small gesture doesn’t go unnoticed, and a small cup of coffee goes a long, long way.
On his Facebook page, Jasper Costales posted a story about ice cream house employees who gave a cup of coffee to a senior citizen who couldn’t afford one.
According to his post, “An elderly man walked into BTF Ice Cream House in front of St Luke’s Medical Center. He went straight to the cashier and asked how much would a cup of coffee cost. The cashier told him it costs PHP30. The elderly man slowly walked towards the door.”
The cashier ran after the man to ask if he didn’t have enough money for the cup of coffee. When the man’s silence confirmed it, the cashier told him to stay and the coffee will be given at no cost.
“The cashier went on to ask if he needs anything more but the man politely declined,” Costales added in his post.
The employees then treated the man like a paying customer.
The online community praised the employees of BTF ice cream. The post now has more than 4,500 likes and 2,000 shares.
