A letter sent to a teacher by a presumably adoring primary school student has gone viral this week, not because of its fuzzy, feel-good vibes, but because of what can only be described as its morbidly amusing contents.
Mary Rose Rosales, a teacher from Saint Michael the Archangel Academy in Bataan province, received the letter from a student on Friday and was amused — yet shocked — by what was written on the lined piece of paper.

Rosales posted the letter last week on Facebook, writing in her caption, “This kid drove me crazy. I don’t want to end up like that.”
What did the child write in the letter?
Simply this: “I love you, Teacher Merry Rose. I hope you won’t die yet.”
Uhhhh, thanks, kid?
The indisputably heartfelt, albeit somewhat shocking, message has since been shared almost 122,000 times.
In a Facebook message to Coconuts Manila, Rosales said the student had always been super sweet to her.
“She’s very affectionate. Every time I go to the classroom she would always welcome me with a hug,” she said. “Even before she goes home, she would give me a hug again.”
Rosales said the child gave her the letter for no particular reason.

“She handed me the letter before I went on a lunch break. I laughed when I first read it then I thought of taking a photo of it and posting it [online],” she said. “Actually, it’s the first time she ever gave me a letter and that’s what she wrote. I told her I’m not going to die yet, hehehe.”
