In case you missed it, the Brazilian Formula One racing driver Felipe Massa made a two-hour pit stop in Manila, on his way to Singapore’s 2013 Forumula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix this weekend. The 32-year-old Scuderia Ferrari driver met with Filipino race fans for a promo tour with Shell, whose fuels power the roaring engines of his racing team.
During the meet-and-greet event, hosted by Drew Arellano, Massa and Shell officials described Manila as “an important market” for F1 that was why it was prudent for the team to make the stop. The driver shared his experience with Shell products that fuel his team’s race cars.
“I hope you guys give me a lot of lucky for the race on Sunday,” the race car driver, who is confirmed to be leaving Ferrari at the end of the 2013 F1 season, told the excited crowd. He is rumored to be replaced by Kimi Raikkonen.
