Honestly, we didn’t think it would get this cold.
“The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the temperature dropped to 17.5 degrees Celsius at around 2 a.m. at the Science Garden Station in Quezon City on Saturday, Jan 18,” reports Ellalyn De Vera in the Manila Bulletin.
The Jan 18 temperature is, so far, the lowest recorded this year, surpassing the 19.2 degrees Celsius recorded last January 1 and 12.
According to the report, “PAGASA explained that air temperatures in the country will continue to drop as northeast monsoon reaches its peak within the last week of January until the first week of February.”
