Hotter days ahead, PAGASA warns

As of 2pm on Monday, May 26, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) noted that Metro Manila temperature was at 34.3°C.

That’s not exactly cool, but at least it’s not as hot as the Saturday, May 24 temperature high of 36.7°C or even the 34.5°C high logged on Sunday, May 25.

“Based on PAGASA records, the highest temperature ever was 42.2°C in Tuguegarao on May 11, 1969, while Metro Manila was hottest on May 14, 1987, at 38.5°C,” reports Jeannette I. Andrade in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

PAGASA says hotter days may be ahead.
