“On Wednesday, May 21, operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested an alleged member of the Hong Kong triad, Kenny Chua Sy, in a buy-bust operation in Greenhills, San Juan,” reports Cecille Suerte Felipe in The Philippine Star.
The suspect yielded eight kilos of shabu worth around PHP40 million
CIDG chief Director Benjamin Magalong said operatives of the CIDG-Anti-Transnational Crime Unit led by Senior Superintendent John Guyguyon have been conducting surveillance on Sy prior to his arrest.
Sy is now being held at the CIDG detention facility facing drug charges.
