On Mon, Mar 21, alone as many as 10,000 to 20,000 passengers are expected to begin their annual Holy Week exodus to their respective provinces at the Araneta Bus Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City.
“Most of the air-conditioned buses are already fully-booked since last week, but there are reportedly still vacant seats for walk-in or chance passengers,” reports GMA News Online.
The report noted: “An even larger volume of people is expected to flock to the terminal by Holy Wednesday, March 23, since the next day, Holy Thursday, is a non-working holiday. Bus companies advised those who booked tickets for ordinary buses to bring water to prevent dehydration due to the warm weather.”
