Yesterday, Malacañang released the list of holidays for 2015. Incidentally, Agoda.com, a hotel booking website, also releases some helpful tips as well as their global calendar on the best hotel deals. As in the high and low seasons of hotels across the globe. We all know what everyone is thinking: It’s time to plan those trips.

Book it early in the year when the average hotel room rates are usually below average. Note the 8 long weekends spread across the year.
We will welcome 2015 on one, with January 2, Friday, already proclaimed a holiday. Agoda’s calendar suggests you take that European trip then—you’ll get as much as 40% off on most of hotels in Berlin, Oslo, or Stockholm.
Another long weekend—this time for Holy week—falls in April, the month when London, Sydney, and Dubai hotels usually have their promos.
August is another hot holiday month. Hotels in Berlin or Istanbul will be cheaper than most but not nearby favorite Hong Kong. In August, you may end up paying more than 50% for Hong Kong hotels. Instead, consider HK in June, when rates are much, much friendlier.
Or consider spending your long weekend in May or June in Dubai where room rates are low.
