The official Facebook page of KJM Promotions shared a now-viral video on Friday of high school students from the Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School (ESNCHS) in Borongan City recording a practice session of a news radio broadcast — and they’re really good.
The students were practicing for the Regional Secondary Schools Press Conference (RSSPC) held in December 2018 in Ormoc City.
“This was recorded LIVE during their practice session early December 2018 days before the actual competition at Borongan City, Eastern Samar,” the post stated.
The first part of the video shows a student singing in Filipino before the other students chime in with the report of the news.
Aside from the students reading out their scripts as well as a veteran broadcaster, they also managed to include background music and sound effects.
Some of the stories they reported on were the Balangiga Bells’ return to the country and Catriona Gray’s Miss Universe win.
They even had radio commercials in between.
The students did this all in one take even as some of them tried to suppress a giggle or two.

The video had 5.6million views, 232,000 likes, and 160,000 shares as of this posting. Netizens thought it was amazing.
Quemer Bagaporo who claimed to be a former DJ said that it was a great production. “All [of it] was amazing. Keep it #VoiceOfTheFuture,” he added.
Melany Agapito wrote: “This is good! I watched over and over, I can’t get over [it].”
Ruben Niño Sarvida Balane wrote: “Just wow! The main [news] anchors has (sic) full potentials… [The] technical [team] also did a good job and the showbiz reporter, wow, the voice [was] so sweet. Kudos to the team. Everyone did a good job… [They have a] bright future.”
Adrian Silvestre asked why the student anchors were the only ones praised.
“Didn’t you guys notice the technical [side of the broadcast]? The [transition] is so smooth. I salute you! Hands down to the whole team. Kudos!”
Louise Calderon wrote: “While I was watching this, my mama thought that our radio was on. We don’t have a radio.”
