This sad story never ends.
Saying goodbye is perhaps the hardest part of being an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), and it gets a thousand times more difficult when kids are involved.
Icar Perdido shared a heart-wrenching scene between her daughter and husband at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport at Davao City.
“Don’t go Daddy! I want to be with you. I love you Daddy! I want to kiss my Daddy,” the little girl said sobbing.

The five-year old girl cried uncontrollably because her dad was again leaving home to return to Maldives, where he has been working for seven years.
Many OFWs experience this kind of pain when leaving their families in search of better ways to provide.
Perdido’s video has gone viral with more than 6 million views since it was uploaded on Nov 12. OFWs shared similar experiences on the comments section too.
The most heartbreaking part? When the little girl tells her dad, “You don’t love me!”
Well, we think the dad is leaving precisely because he loves his family.
In an interview with CNN Philippines, Perdido said that she herself was once an OFW but she eventually decided to stay home in March this year to focus on raising their kids.
Perdido added that her daughter eventually calmed down, but she first allowed the allowed the little girl to express her sadness about being left behind.
“I hope one day in Duterte’s administration, Filipinos will no longer need to work abroad,” Perdido captioned her post.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier said that he wants this to be the last generation of OFWs. He promised to look for ways to provide jobs in the Philippines.
