The decapitated and limbless body of a former call center agent was found in Sampaloc, Manila on Wednesday.
According to Senior Police Office 1 Jay Santos of the Manila Police District Homicide Section, the victim was identified as Mark Reu Abesamis, 32, from Novaliches, Quezon City.
The body was discovered by a garbage collector at the corner of Maceda and Matimyas streets in Sampaloc shortly before 7 a. m. The torso was found inside a trash bag that has been sealed with packaging tape and then placed inside a box. Police suspect that Abesamis was robbed then killed and that his head and legs were severed so he could easily fit inside the garbage bag, Abante News Online reported.
