Halloween isn’t over yet, folks, and we’re lovin’ it.

Graphic designer Michael Angelo de Chavez shared a now-viral video yesterday of his ingenious Halloween costume that transformed him into a McDonald’s burger.

In the 5-second video, de Chavez shows us a swift transformation when he gets down on the ground and turns himself into a life-sized McDonald’s burger box. It gets funnier when the person filming sings the paparapapa jingle.

De Chavez told Coconuts Manila through a Facebook message that he wore the costume to an intimate Halloween party at home in Batangas City on Saturday.

“[My] boyfriend thought it’d be cute if our theme was fast food. We had 2 days to make our costumes so we had to think of something real quick,” he said.

He shared that he was motivated when he heard that his grandparents had a prize for whoever wore the best costume.

“I took to my 3D software and made the layouts. [I bought] the materials and built the box and painted it in 2 days.”

The University of Santo Tomas College of Fine Arts & Design graduate added that a semester of his packaging design class helped him in creating his costume. “I pretty much knew what I was doing.”

He wasn’t sure at first if he would finish the costume in time, but he did with the help of his friends.

“I was done by Friday, ready for the Saturday party. There were 15 people at the party and we spent the night singing karaoke and playing games,” he shared. “It was a lovely night.”

In case you were wondering, yes, he won the prize for his costume.

“I won a wad of PHP20 (US$0.38) bills,” he said.

The video now has over 97,000 views and 1,700 shares as of this article’s posting. Netizens loved the idea:

Hannah Vailoces said it was brilliant.

“[You] make packaging class proud hahahahaha,” wrote Renz Laboriante.

“You’re so good, Mico! So extra,” said Christine Flores.

“This is so cute,” said Chryzle Bas.

Chryz Dumandan tagged a friend and said: “This should be your costume next year?”

Gita Toku said: “This needs to reach Mcdonalds.”

That it does.

“[Is this the] best costume?” asked Jellah Serrano.

Close, but no cigar. The best Halloween costume this year goes to that kid in a headless costume.
