Guess who’s going to Malaysia?

Obviously, the question is rhetorical.

“President Benigno Aquino III is set to visit Malaysia next week but will not raise the Philippines’ claim on Sabah,” reports ANC.

Instead, Aquino will discuss trade and economic issues as well as the peace process in Mindanao with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Last year, though, followers of the Sultan of Sulu, Jamalul Kiram III, occupied Lahad Datu, a land they call their own. Several Filipinos have been detained in Malaysia due to the violent siege. Aquino said he will check on their condition.

So wala pa akong nakitang pruweba nitong alleged human rights violations. Walang nai-report sa atin ang kaukulang ahensiya ng gobyerno, ng DFA (What is clear to me is that Malaysia is deporting 140 to 150 Filipinos who have no work permits. They have also assisted us in helping these Filipinos who broke their laws to come home. I have yet to see any proof of alleged human rights violations. No reports have yet been made).”
