Hopefully, he won’t have to bathe in a river of garbage this time around.
“In an interview on Wednesday, Mar 25, Senator Cynthia Villar was asked if her husband, former Senator Manny Villar, could be the Nacionalista Party’s bet once again in the 2016 presidential polls,” reports Maila Ager on Inquirer.net.
Mrs. Villar was quoted as saying, “Alam mo kay Manny ang presidency is destiny for him after 2010. Sabi niya kung sayo iyan, dadating sayo yan. Kung hindi sa ‘yo ‘yan, hindi dadating sa ‘yo ‘yan (You know, for Manny, the presidency is destiny for him after 2010. He said if it’s meant for you, then it will come. If not, then it won’t come).”
When asked to be more specific, Mrs. Villar reportedly said, “He’s not saying that if it’s really being pointed to him, then why will he not take the challenge. But if it’s not being pointed to him, why will he do it. That’s the way it is for him.”
Meanwhile, let’s all watch the much-lampooned former senator’s campaign video. He had used the tag “tunay na mahirap” before. However, if he can run for president a second time, that clearly proves that he is far from “mahirap.”
