A greenhouse full of weed may sound like a dream to some but for this couple in the Philippines, it’s the beginning of a nightmare.

A British national and his Pinay live-in partner were arrested by authorities earlier today after the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) discovered a greenhouse full of marijuana in their home in Subic, Zambales.

ABS-CBN News identified the suspects as Simon Stuart McLaren Watson, 44, and Rizza Fernandez, 28, residents at the Magdalena Homes Subdivision in Barangay (Village) Calapacuan.

Radio station RMN reported that the two were arrested around 3am. The weed found in their possession were said to be worth PHP15million (US$287,543.72), the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported.

A total of 70 flower pots with kush or high-grade weed were seized by operatives inside a room with an air conditioner and fan, the report added.

The suspects reportedly sold the weed at PHP28,000 (US$536.33) to two police agents who posed as buyers.

They will be charged for violating the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
