Traveling between Bulacan and Quezon City has become a little more convenient with the launch of two point-to-point (P2P) bus routes covering the two areas.
Launched yesterday, the new routes are Robinsons Place Malolos to North Avenue, Quezon City; and Sta. Maria, Bulacan to Trinoma Mall in Quezon City.
Bulacan is a province in the outskirts of Metro Manila.
According to Precious Grace Transport Services, the bus company which services the routes, the buses at Robinsons Place Malolos will be operational from 5am to 8pm, while the vehicles at North Avenue, Quezon City will be operational from 7am to 10pm. One way trips are currently priced at the promo amount of PHP80 (USD$1.50).
Meanwhile the buses at Sta. Maria, Bulacan are operational from 5am to 8pm. Vehicles at Trinoma Mall are operational from 6:30am to 10pm. One way trips are currently priced at the promo amount of PHP70 (US$1.31).
The transportation system in the country leaves much to be desired.
Trains are usually packed and disruptions happen often. Although many have cars, causing intense traffic daily, many Filipinos also cannot afford to own one, forcing them to take the inefficient forms of public transportation.
In 2015, the Philippine government launched express buses which made limited stops at EDSA, Manila’s main thoroughfare. The idea evolved into the P2P bus service in 2016, which transports passengers from one destination to another without making any stops. More expensive than regular buses, they promise to cut down 20 to 30 minutes of a passengers’ commute time.
