When it launched in May, iFlix’s initial library was impressive at over 10,000 hours of movies and TV. But something was amiss: there was no word about local content.
So learning about the internet TV service partnering up with GMA 7 is something we’re totally looking forward to.
According to a press statement from iFlix, popular GMA TV shows, award-winning documentaries, and even GMA movies will soon be available on iFlix’s extensive library — within the month, to be specific.
This means that before August ends, iFlix subscribers can have their fill of things like My Husband’s Lover, Sossy Problems, or Muro Ami, whenever they feel like it.
As though that’s not enough, the collaboration will also offer Catch Up TV on episodes of select GMA shows.
It’s similar to iwanttv!, except on iFlix’s Catch Up, episodes will be available seven (7) days after its TV airing.
The partnership will be formally launched on Monday, Aug 17, with the service becoming available within the month.
Subscription to iFlix is at PHP129 a month, but if you’re not yet sold on the idea, it’s offering a one-month free trial.
